Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which information may be missing. Thank you.

[edit] Congratulations, Dear Administrator!

Remember the dot, congratulations! You now have the rights of administrator on Commons. Please take a moment to read the Commons:Administrators page and watchlist related pages (in particular Commons:Administrators' noticeboard and Commons:Deletion requests), before launching yourself into page deletions, page protections, account blockings or modifications of protected pages. The majority of the actions of administrators can be reversed by the other admins, except for history merges which must thus be treated with particular care.
Please feel free to join us on IRC: #wikimedia-commons @ irc.freenode.net. You may find Commons:Guide to adminship to be useful reading.
Please also check or add your entry to the List of administrators and the related lists by language and date it references....
Congratulations! Could you please update Commons:List of administrators by adminship status in other Wikimedia projects with eventual status you may have in other wikis? Regards, and happy editing! Patrícia msg 00:13, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image
A warning! :( Anyway, should the old image now be deleted? Enigmaman (talk) 15:52, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, but I sent it through the deletion discussion process anyway just to be sure it's OK. —Remember the dot (talk) 18:40, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wow
I have a bunch more. There should be a way to just rename an image. Would be much easier. If you look at that page, a lot of the image titles are misspelled. Enigmaman (talk) 20:07, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- There should be a way to move images like we move pages. Images should also not be bound to a specific format - instead, the extension should be stripped off and the image type stored as metadata. This would allow uploading of a PNG over a GIF, or an SVG over a PNG, without having to recopy all the source information onto a new image page. —Remember the dot (talk) 18:40, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

| Image deletion warning | Image:Tomato_Firmware_-_QOS_View_Graphs.PNG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Hello Remember the dot!
Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.
To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.
You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.
The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!
Thank you. BotMultichillT (talk) 11:14, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Closing deletion discussions
I'm not familiar with how it works on Commons, but is it appropriate to close a discussion you participated in? I favored deletion as well, but it seems to be unorthodox for an admin to express an opinion and then close it. Enigmaman (talk) 02:05, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Good to hear from you! If I were in that position, I wouldn't have closed the discussion after commenting. —Remember the dot (talk) 18:37, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
[edit] MediaWiki:Monobook.css/de
Hi Remember the dot, the issue with decapitalization in certain languages seems to be fixed, at least the software-provided CSS script looks pretty much like the one on this page. Is it safe to delete this now? Regards, -- ChrisiPK (Talk|Contribs) 08:09, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- I'm afraid it won't be properly fixed until the revision shown at Special:Version is 49373 or later :-( —Remember the dot (talk) 05:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] De-adminship warning
Dear Remember the dot. I am writing to you to inform you that you are in danger of losing your adminship on Commons because of inactivity.
If you want to keep your adminship, you need both to sign at Commons:Administrators/Inactivity section within 30 days of today's date, and also to make at least five further admin actions in the following six months. Anyone who does not do so will automatically lose administrator rights.
You can read the de-admin policy at Commons:Administrators/De-adminship.
Thank you

[edit] Copyright status of national anthem
Are you sure that your uploaded file is in public domain? Because as I know, the author of Vietnamese anthem was dead in 1995 and Vietnamese IP law doesn't have any provision which tells "the anthem is not protected by this law". Tân (talk) 09:38, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
