Well, also, some shields haven't been created yet, but they're not typical shields. 305, 395, 399, 405, 466, 505, 580, 780, 805, 880 and 980 do not have CA SR shields, while for example 6, 80, 280 and etc., do. After that spectacle with Image:I-80 Chadbourne.jpg, even if that was a mistake, maybe creating those shields would be okay. --Geopgeop 01:44, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

I see you have started a Florida County Roads category already. You want to merge it with my Florida County Routes category which I have no problem with since I plan on switching the shields with the ones that you have uploaded. Hi - it seems to me that the license given by RIGIS is non-free. You said at Template:Deletion_requests#Template:RIGIS that maps derived from the original data are covered by a separate license... well, which one, then? Everything I find on the website has the "no unauthorized distribution" clause. I believe it's necessary to get an explicite statements from RIGIS disclaiming all rights to maps derived from their data (even SVG maps?!), if we want to keep the images.

I came across Image:New Jersey railroad map.png and Image:Amtrak schematic.png and noticed they are corrupt and will not display, so I tagged them for speedy deletion. But after clicking on the maps, I see that they are very detailed and should be kept on commons. I removed the speedy deletion tag, and was hoping that you could fix the images so they can be properly displayed here and not deleted. There may be other corrupt images out there, so I'd check and make sure those don't get deleted as well. –Dream out loud 17:41, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello SPUI!

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.

To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.

You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.

The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!
