Hi,

ich bin durch die gute Platzierung des Bildes (warum nicht in Commons???) im Zuschauerwettbewerb auf das Bild aufmerksam geworden, aber irgendwas hat mich doch gestört und meine Frau - die schärfste Kritikerin meiner eigenen Bilder - stieß mich dann mit der Nase auf das Problem dieses Bildes: Die beiden Bäume sind in ihrer Dominanz und schwärze störend und lenken vom Motiv stark ab. Das ist natürlich nur eine persönliche Einschätzung, aber was ich mir in solchen Fällen angewöhnt habe ist, die im Vordergrund liegenden Objekte im Schatten einfach anzublitzen. In diesem Fall hätte der Blitz die Bäume aufgehellt und die Rinde erkennen lassen und somit den für den Betrachter bekannten Eindruck hervorgerufen.

Ob dieses Bild nun besonders gut ist (das Original-Dia ist ganz ansehnlich) sei dahingestellt, ist aber das einzige Beispiel, das ich online habe und das Problem demonstriert. Ohne Blitz wäre der Vordergrund nur schwarz gewesen.

Das Bild ist doch auf den Commons? :) – Doch, ich finde die Bäume auch zu schwarz. Aber ... wir waren mit der Schule in Stralsund und man hatte nicht viel Zeit zum fotografieren, es ging immer grad weiter. Ausser natürlich dort, wo es nichts zu fotografieren gab. Ich hatte die Kamera vorher auch noch nie in den Ferien oder so, hatte also noch keine Erfahrung damit. Der Kontrast war auch extrem. Im Wald konnte ich mit ISO 200 nur mit 1/40 s fotografieren, an der Küste mit dem 10- bis 20-fachen. Ich versuch es nächstes Mal ;) vielen Dank für den Tipp!

Irgendwie hatte ich ein Problem das Bild aus Commons zu verlinken - wer weiß, was da los war. Und ja, das kenne ich, wenn man in der Gruppe unterwegs ist, kommt man nicht in Ruhe zum Aufbauen des Stativs, was in der Dunkelheit des Waldes oben auf den Klippen meist nötig wäre. Wenn ich auf Fototour gehe, dann am liebsten bei Sonnenaufgang, weil man dann fast immer allein ist. ;-)

Genau. Fotografierst du viel mit dem Stativ? Ich habe es nie mitgenommen ... werden so auch Bilder mit längeren Belichtungszeiten gut? Dann müsste ich das auch mal etwas ausprobieren :)

Wenn ich "richtig" Fotografiere dann immer auf Dias und die besten 100 pro Jahr lasse ich dann auf Kodak Photo-CD digitalisieren. Ist etwas altertümlich - ich weiß und die Qualität des Scans läßt auch oft zu wünschen übrig, hat aber für mich ein günstiges Verhältnis aus Preis - Leistung - Zeitaufwand. Es ist aber eine aussterbende Technik. Dann haben wir noch eine ganz einfache Digiknipse, die genau das leistet, was sie soll (schnell mal ein Bild zur Dokumentation von irgendwas, was man anderen zeigen will), aber es geht eben nichts über eine ordentliche Spiegelreflexkamera und ein Dia an die Wand projiziert ist noch 10x besser als mit einem Beamer an die Wand geschmissen. Das ist das Argument für die Dias :) Sie haben ja eine theoretische Auflösung von etwa 20 Megapixeln. Wie genau werden die digitalisierten Bilder? Es gibt ja ganz verschiedene Scanner. – Simon / ?! 08:40, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Sollte eigentlich "Kaltfrontokklusion" heißen. Der Text ist auch in der Bilddatei (Überschrift mit hinterlegten Wolken) zur Kaltfrontokklusion falsch geschrieben --Tahome

Hi Simon, I just uploaded this picture. I saw you working on the article Dipsacus fullonum. Can you state that it is the same plant? This picture is taken in France, south of Paris, in the Loire region. I thought the picture was nice and could be added to the article if you agree. It was about 1.7 m high at least. Hi Elly, Sorry for the delayed answer, there were of other things to do ;) Yes, I’d say it is a Dipsacus fullonum. laciniatus has longer … thorns? at the top which are longer than the dipsacus thorns.

The Picture is nice, indeed, it is typical for this plant in this season with the spider nets and the cloudy sky (I guess it was, because of the colours). – Simon / ?! 08:39, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

I have noticed that the w:Devanagari on the wikipedia logo is wrong. It is on the leftmost, third down (next to the chinese, which is next to the bakward N-I think that's Russian). It should be वी. To find it , go down one piece from the 'W', then go right twice till you reach the end of the image. I cant fix it as i dont have the software. Manishearth (talk) 15:21, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi Simon,
File:Schwebefliege auf Distel.jpg shows a flower of a Spear thistle (= Bull thistle, Latin name: Cirsium vulgare (Savi) Ten.). The purple flower heads are 3.8-5.1 cm in diameter and 2.5-5.1 cm long with narrow, spine-tipped bracts (Hülle zerstreut spinnwebig behaart).
