Please do not edit my user page again. If you have something to say to me, use my user talk page. If you have something in response to messages I have left here, respond here. LX (talk, contribs) 18:56, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
STOP THIS LX! You're targeting me and putting a COPYRIGHT VIOLATION mark on every picture of mine! Please use some common-sense. Many of the pictures (apart from some on Flickr) are free-to-use PUBLIC PICTURES without any copyright status! If some one later takes those pictures and puts his name with a copyright sign on it, that doesn't mean NOW HE IS THE OWNER of the picture. PLEASE TAKE THIS NOTE INTO CONSIDERATION AND REMOVE THOSE WARNINGS! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Someonepakistani (talk • contribs) 19:11, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
First, like I said, if you have something to say in response to messages I have left here, please respond here, to keep the discussion in one place. I am watching this page, so I will see any responses made here.
Secondly, please calm down, and stop yelling.
Thirdly, as you've already been told, please sign your talk page entries.
Now, to address what you're saying (or yelling, rather): Yes, I can confirm that I am going through the files that you have uploaded, because I noticed that you had uploaded several copyright violations, and it seems you have some serious and fundamental misunderstandings about the basic principles of copyright. When I find copyright violations, I mark them as such. No, I am not going to stop this.
For just about all the files you have uploaded, you have falsely claimed that it was your own work and that you were the author and copyright holder. For photographs, this would mean that you were the photographer. Upon examination, these claims quickly proved to be demonstrably and patently false. Please understand that making fraudulent claims about the authorship, copyright status or licensing of copyrighted works is a criminal offense. Finding a photo on the Internet does not make you its author or copyright holder, and it doesn't make it your own work.
Furthermore, you seem to be under the misguided impression that being published somehow places photos into the public domain or exempts them from copyright protection. This is not the case. All creative works are protected by copyright, and this applies regardless of whether or not they are published with a copyright notice.
Wikimedia Commons only accepts content that is in the public domain or published under a free license. You really need to read Commons:First steps and Commons:Licensing before attempting to upload anything else. LX (talk, contribs) 19:36, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Okay, but I have some friends at Flickr that ALLOW me to use these photos on Wikipedia. Now what kind of license should I add for that? I'm sorry about putting most of the pictures as my own work. And I did it because I had no idea of its consequences until now. Secondly, for the images that have 'NO COPYRIGHT PROTECTION' on them, what kind of license should be used on them. Please clarify these things.SomeonePakistani (talk, contribs) 07:25, 2 September 2010
Permission to use a file on Wikipedia is not sufficient. Your friends must grant a license that allows anyone to use the file for any purpose (including commercial purposes), in modified or unmodified form. The easiest way is to do that at Flickr. See Commons:Flickr files. I don't understand what you mean by not understanding the consequences of falsely claiming other people's work as your own work. Regardless of the consequences, how did you reach the conclusion that lying would be a good thing to do?
Files that are not protected by copyright are in the public domain for a reason. There is a variety of reasons (passage of time since the author's death, passage of time since publication or creation in some jurisdiction, lack of originality or creativity, and exceptions for government-created works, to name a few). Therefore, there is no single answer to your question. As already mentioned, you seem to incorrectly believe that copyright does not apply to a large number of works where it actually does apply. From your questions, it is evident that you have still not read Commons:First steps and Commons:Licensing. LX (talk, contribs) 15:21, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Also, you nominated Canal Khussa photo, which was basically NOT owned by the link you posted in the picture. The picture I posted had NO copyright sign on it, where as the picture in link shows clearly that someone (who actually copied that picture into his Flickr a/c) took it and put his own name with all that copyright shit. Now this is UNFAIR. He DIDNOT own it, I gave you a proof, but you're not giving a shit to any defensive thing I say. You're acting just as if you want all the data I posted to be deleted whether protected by copyright or not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SomeonePakistani (talk • contribs) 07:25, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm guessing you refer to File:Canal khussa decor.jpg/http://www.flickr.com/photos/fotobug/411865370/. I don't know where you actually got the photo from or why yours didn't have a watermark. Either it was edited out of the version you uploaded, or it was added later. Even if the latter is true, the Flickr user may still be the copyright holder. They may have uploaded the version without the watermark to another website or in an earlier revision of the file on Flickr. I find it unlikely, but they could also have nicked it from somewhere else and claimed it as their own. In any case, I remain convinced that your claims that it was your own work and that you were the author and copyright holder were patently false.
STILL! There is no possible logic to nominate it without proof; which you currently don't have. And focusing on your LAST SENTENCE, I think you would delete almost every single shit I uploaded on this shit site!
I do not want everything you have uploaded to be deleted regardless of whether or not it is protected by copyright, but again, you seem to incorrectly believe that copyright does not apply to a large number of works where it actually does apply. Given the work I put into tracking down the proper source, authorship and copyright status information for File:1893 Map of Lahore.jpg and cleaning up the file description page after it was put up for deletion, your accusation seems rather ridiculous to be perfectly honest, and there is really no need for the cursing and persistent yelling. LX (talk, contribs) 15:21, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Okay, then I've been asking the same question for DAYS that if we choose to upload a file that has no copyright protection and for public use, what do we have to fill the following colums with:
1. Source; 2. Authorship; 3.Copyright Status (or License)
But sadly, no one gives a shit to what I ask. I've asked this same question SO MANY TIMES. then you people come to me saying BOGUS AUTHORSHIP CLAIMS. Funny world we live in!
Plus, what in the world is wrong with this picture now? http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Old_View_of_Street_in_Lahore.jpg You have EVEN put a VIOLATION MARK on pictures that i've put TRUE license info about. LIKE THESE OLD PHOTOS in the Religion of Lahore article. Neither is http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Lahore_Canal,_Model_of_Darvaish_of_Molana_Roomi.jpg this justified! I'm feeling to QUIT WIKIPEDIA FOR EVER. (Did I see some smiles?) GO ON! SMILE! I CAN NOT TOLERATE THIS KINGDOM OF INJUSTICE! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Someonepakistani (talk • contribs) 07:40, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Túrelio marked File:Old View of Street in Lahore.jpg as missing information about the source and authorship, which it is. That's what's wrong with it at this point. You are claiming to be the author of the file, and you simultaneously claim that it is in the public domain more than 80 years ago, yet you seem very much alive. If you can provide a proper source and evidence of its supposed public domain status, it can be kept. Túrelio also marked File:Lahore Canal, Model of Darvaish of Molana Roomi.jpg as missing information about the source and authorship, presumably because you are claiming that it is your own work and that you are the author and copyright holder and because, frankly, that claim is not credible given your current track record here. LX (talk, contribs) 15:21, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

This is the link to the street photo! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c7/Street_scene_of_Lahore%2C_1890s.jpg So, you just can't nominate Molana Roomi photo for deletion if you have no good proof. If you think deleting it based on my previous bogus authorship claims is what wikipedia stands for, why dont you delete each and every single text and image I contributed to this 'heavenly' site? If that's what you call -- JUSTICE!
