Commons, not Wikipedia
On Commons we do not overwrite images. We keep both versions, old and new. This is partly for copyright reasons, in order not to break the version chain. Please consider uploading your totally new contributions to a new file name.
- Hi, I didn't see that there was the original Bing logo as well; I was only planning on removing the background from Himanis' contribution, although some retracing was necessary. Would the difference between my final SVG and Himanis' be covered by the no overwriting thing? Commons is all a bit mystical to me, as I generally upload my own images rather than altering them anyway... Cheers for the heads up! drewmunn (talk) 17:19, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- I think Himanis Das did not do so, but I am not sure about AxG. I think you can just upload a File:Bing logo (2013).svg and credit yourself and AxG.
|File:Bing logo.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue.
