The World Tomorrow (1934)[edit]

Title 17, Ch. 1, Sec. 107 of the US Copyright law states that such Fair Use "is not an infringement of copyright."  Click HERE to read the statute.  While copyright infringement complaints must be decided on a case by case basis, the Supreme Court has determined that copyright law cannot be used for the sole purpose of suppressing ideas. --— Preceding unsigned comment added by Superchargedone (talk • contribs) 23:01, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

collage of biology[edit]

can you tell me what happen to this picture File:Biology organism collage.png ? we were using that one on our Biology portal. Is there any other collage available on biology ? Irvin calicut (talk) 09:44, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

The file had no source, so it got deleted. Can you check other options at Category:Montages of animals, Category:Montages of plants or Category:3×2 matrices --Sreejith K (talk) 13:26, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

മലബാറിലെ നായർ പെൺകുട്ടി (1914).jpg[edit]

Hi Sreejith, Thanks for merging the files. But I am afraid you did it the other way round. മലബാറിലെ നായർ പെൺകുട്ടി (1914).jpg is the original file since it was uplaoded first. Nair_woman.jpg is the duplicate file. Could you please revert and redirect the other way. Thanks. Achayan (talk) 09:18, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

I saw that File:മലബാറിലെ നായർ പെൺകുട്ടി (1914).jpg was the original file, but it had borders. Wikimedia does not recommend having borders inside the image itself. Do you think that file looks better than File:Nair_woman.jpg? I will wait for your answer before I revert. Thanks --Sreejith K (talk) 19:13, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

Bollywood Hungama[edit]

Hi, Don't you think that File:Abhishek Bachchan on the sets of 'Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa 5'(4).jpg, File:Abhishek Bachchan on the sets of 'Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa 5'(2).jpg, and File:Abhishek Bachchan on the sets of 'Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa 5'(10).jpg might be TV screenshots? See also File:Salman Khan and Sophie Choudry at Bigg Boss 8.jpg. Regards, Yann (talk) 12:37, 15 November 2014 (UTC)

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Bigg Boss are TV shows. The pictures are from the TV sets. I can't really say whether these are TV screenshots, but are likely to be it. From my experience so far with Bollywood Hungama images, their claim that the pictures were taken by their own photographers cannot be blindly trusted. Thats when I stopped reviewing them. For these images, I don't know what to say. --Sreejith K (talk) 21:36, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
