Hi - thanks for contributing to the commons. There seems to be a problem with Image:AleksanderOrłowski.Autoportret.ws.jpg (the wiki software can't recognize the image) - the image file is empty or broken, and/or ther's a problem with the special character in the filename. I have deleted the image for now, please try to upload it again under a different name. Please use ASCII characters (english letters) in filenames only (there are a number of different problems and bugs with special characters in filenames). If this does not help, also try to load and save the image in some graphics program, maybe this will fix it. Thanks! -- Duesentrieb 23:41, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

It works now, thanks! Hm, I just saw that the painter died in 1936... by the "normal" definition of PD (70 years after the painter died), the image would not be PD until the end of 2006... Do you know how this is handeled in Poland? Please add a short note to the description page about this to avoid confusion. Thank you! -- Duesentrieb 13:30, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Ok, I deleted the image. It's a shame, really... remember to upload it in 2007 ;) -- Duesentrieb 18:45, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Jacek Rossakiewicz 01:53, 13 May 2005 (UTC)

Jacek Rossakiewicz 11:43, 22 May 2005 (UTC)

Juz sobie poradziłem. Usunąłem kategorię Polish painters ze strony obrazu. Jacek Rossakiewicz 12:24, 22 May 2005 (UTC)

Voo Voo[edit]

Witaj! Możesz to zrobić? I "Janusz"... hmm, czy ja cie znam? ABX - (O mnie dyskutuj) 19:30, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello!

Thank you for providing images to the Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to the Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.

To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.

You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.

The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on the Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!

Thank you. 78.48.64.204 15:36, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Thanks for uploading File:Wikipedia-karlbarth01.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or send an email with copy of a written permission to OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). This also applies if you are the author yourself.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, and Commons:Permission if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own.

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the OTRS-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted.
