Obviously the two photos are taken from the same point. Therefore I wonder, why I think it in Jokkmokk and you in Kabdalis.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

EL 4 LEW 12821-1972 TEV Weimar 05.05.11 (z9)

Hallo Wassen, (assuming that you're german too) ich hatte vor längerer Zeit die EL's mal durchgeordnet, weil ich mich mit den Grubenloks beschäftigte. Es gab bereits einmal eine ähnliche Kategorie wie die von Dir jetzt angelegte category:LEW EL 4, nämlich Category:LEW-type EL 4. Die sprangen Dir nur nicht ins Auge, weil sie unter Category:LEW mining locomotives "versteckt" sind. Das die EL 4 und EL 16 in die Reihe nicht hineinpassen, hatte ich damals schon bemerkt, aber keine Lösung dafür parat. Möglicherweise hat LEW Industrieloks so bezeichnet? Dafür fehlt mir das Insiderwissen, würde aber Sinn ergeben. Ein _übereifriger User_ hat dann das Bild der anderen EL 4 aus der Kategorie entfernt, anschließend wurde die - nunmehr leere - Kategorie gelöscht. Nun ist genau das eingetreten, was ich vorhergesehen habe: jemand (Du) hat ein weiteres Bild einer EL 4 hochgeladen. ich habe jetzt die Kategorie wieder auf die ursprüngliche umgeändert. Jedenfalls, _wenn_ Du eine neue Kategorie anlegst, dann mußt du diese auch einbinden. Deine category:LEW EL 4 war rot; Du hättest Sie bearbeiten müssen und dort [[:Category:LEW locomotives|EL 4]] eintragen sollen. --Markscheider (talk) 08:11, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
