Re: Requests for Translation Adminship
Hi there! I am looking for the RfTA page and I am sure that I have seen it before but can't seem to find it now. I would be most grateful if you could point me in the right direction :) Thanks in advance! --WikiBronze (talk) 23:06, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi WikiBronze! The place for RfTA is Commons:Bureaucrats' noticeboard. Just add a new section. Regards, --Chrumps (talk) 09:25, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your swift response! Have a good one. --WikiBronze (talk) 01:40, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
Moving old translated pages over
(Continued from our IRC conversation) In order to move a page into a translated subpage, it seems that not just discouraging pages from translation, you also need to remove <translate> tags and remove it from translation at Special:PageTranslation. Please check my recent edits for Commons:Patrol, for example. whym (talk) 09:37, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Whym! Thanks a lot for your help yesterday. I figured that out with the help of another fellow translator. I am going sort out all the pages, today. --WikiBronze [T] 15:38, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
File tagging File:Europeana Think Culture Logo.jpg
|This media was probably deleted.|
|Thanks for uploading File:Europeana Think Culture Logo.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or send an email with copy of a written permission to OTRS (email@example.com). This also applies if you are the author yourself.
The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the OTRS-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (
I saw that you did most of the translations for the Commons:Photo challenge page to Turkish and wanted to ask if you are still interested in translating texts for this project. If you are, there are several things that could be translated: a) the page itself was just actualised, b) we started to translate the challenge descriptions themselves (so far only with langswitch), and c) I just posted translations to French and English for the watchlist notice (MediaWiki talk:WatchlistNotice - the last entry), where other languages could be added.
Best wishes, --Anna reg (talk) 12:29, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
