Vendsyssel - northmost part of the Jutland peninsula in western Denmark. Separated from Jutland by → Limfjord.

The blue colour symbolises the sky and the sea. The red is for Denmark and the green for the nature. The flag was introduced in 1976 by the mayor of Hjørring.
