English: Victor Hugo (26 February 1802 - 22 May 1885) was a French author, the most important of the Romantic authors in the French language. His major works include the novels The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Les Misérables, and a large body of poetry.
Français : Victor-Marie Hugo, né le 26 février 1802 à Besançon et mort le 22 mai 1885 à Paris, est un écrivain, dramaturge, poète, homme politique, académicien et intellectuel engagé français considéré comme le plus important des écrivains romantiques de langue française.
