English: Nanjing (南京) is the capital of Jiangsu Province of China. It was the Chinese capital from 1927-1949.
Deutsch: Die Stadt Nanjing ist Hauptstadt der Provinz Jiangsu. Sie war während der Sechs Dynastien (220-589 AD), der südlichen Song-Dynastie (1127-1279 AD) und zu Beginn der Ming-Dynastie (1368) Hauptstadt des Kaiserreichs China. 1927-1949 war sie Hauptstadt der Republik China.
