Kit evolution[edit]

Summary[edit]

Dark red shirt, white shorts, socks with blue and white stripes
Arsenal's original home colours. The team wore a similar kit (but with redcurrant socks) during the 2005–06 season.
White sleeves first appeared on the shirt in 1933.
This is origin of current tradition.
