The German capital Berlin consists of 12 boroughs, which were formed in 2001 from the previously existing 23 boroughs.

  1. Mitte (Berlin-Mitte, Berlin-Tiergarten, Berlin-Wedding)
  2. Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg (Berlin-Friedrichshain, Berlin-Kreuzberg)
  3. Pankow (Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin-Weißensee, Berlin-Pankow)
  4. Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf (Berlin-Charlottenburg, Berlin-Wilmersdorf)
  5. Spandau
  6. Steglitz-Zehlendorf (Berlin-Steglitz, Berlin-Zehlendorf)
  7. Tempelhof-Schöneberg (Berlin-Tempelhof, Berlin-Schöneberg)
  8. Neukölln
  9. Treptow-Köpenick (Berlin-Treptow, Berlin-Köpenick)
  10. Marzahn-Hellersdorf (Berlin-Marzahn, Berlin-Hellersdorf)
