English: A Şadirvan — a type of Islamic fountain that is usually built in the courtyards of mosques and madrasahs, or in entrance courts at caravanserais and khanqahs.
  • Their main purpose is providing water for drinking and/or ritual ablutions, but can also be aesthetic visual or sound elements as decorative features and garden fountains.
