Afrikaans: Twee doringtipes aan dieselde plant, reguit en krom, met elke variant in pare by die nodes. Vgl. Rooihaak/Vals-haak-en-steek Acacia reficiens, Trassiedoring, Acacia hebeclada, en die Buikdoring, Acacia luederitzii.
English: Primarily in sub-Saharan savanna and especially in the Sahel, but also other African and Arabian Peninsula ecoregions, south to northern South Africa. The combination of straight thorns and curved prickles is shared by a few other Acacia species.
