English: Lucius Aelius Verus (born Lucius Ceionius Commodus, died on 1 January 138) became the adopted son, and intended successor, of Emperor Hadrian (24 January 76 - 10 July 138), but never attained the throne. He was also the father of future emperor Lucius Verus.
