English: Aleksandr Danilovich Menshikov (1673 – 1729) was a Russian statesman, whose official titles included Generalissimo, Prince of the Holy Roman Empire and Duke of Izhora (Duke of Ingria). Highly appreciated associate and friend of Tsar Peter the Great, he was the de facto ruler of Russia for 2 years.
Русский: Александр Данилович Меншиков (1673—1729), российский государственный и военный деятель, сподвижник Петра Великого, после его смерти — фактический правитель России в течение 2-х лет (1725—1728). Имел титулы светлейшего князя и герцога Ижорского (единственный русский дворянин, получивший герцогский титул). Генерал-фельдмаршал, при Петре II — генералиссимус.
