Please note: an Amphitheatre is not the same as an ancient theatre/Theatron architecture.
English: Amphitheatres are public buildings of the Classical period (being particularly associated with ancient Rome) which were used for spectator sports, games and displays. An amphitheatre is distinguished from an ancient theatre by the fact that it forms a complete circle or ellipse.
Deutsch: Ein Amphitheater, von griech. amphi bedeutet beide oder doppelt, ist ein Rundtheater ohne Dach
Italiano: Anfiteatri
Polski: Amfiteatry
