Auckland Region was the former New Zealand region encompassing all of the "wider Auckland" before amalgamation of its various local authorities, together with the regional authority, into one en:Auckland Council in 2010. Except for historical purposes relating SPECIFICALLY to the "Auckland Region" entity, all material related to the Auckland Region is now part of Category:Auckland.
