English: A beedi (from Hindi बीडी़, (pronounced: [ˈbidi]) also known as bidi or biri) is a thin, often flavored, South Asian cigarette made of tobacco wrapped in a tendu (or temburini Diospyros melonoxylon) leaf, and secured with colored thread at one end.
