English: Canada Goose Branta canadensis was introduced from North America to Britain as an ornamental species in the 1670s, with birds escaping and breeding ferally by the late 1800s. They are now widespread as an invasive species throughout much of northern Europe. Another feral population also exists in New Zealand.
