  • On Tuesday 5th October 2010 the off shore stern trawler LAVERNE CTA-793D sunk while alongside at the V&A Waterfront. Owned by Viking Fishing Group , Cape Town. She sailed from IJmuiden (Netherlands) 25-08-2009 and entered into a 14 million Rand refit in Cape Town. One year later she is lying on a port side with the starboard side just kissing the surface.
