This is one of the most famous pictures by Gloeden. It sold by thousands of copies worldwide, and was advertised in the first homosexual periodicals. The name of the model, according to Nino Malambrì (in Mario Bolognari, I ragazzi di Wilhelm von Gloeden, Città del Sole, Reggio Calabria 2012, page 218), was Vincenzo.
