This category of insignia for the Canadian Air Force (CAF) only applies to the period from about 1919 through 1924 and immediately precedes the formation of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in April of 1924. These illustrations represent the two major design styles of cap and collar badges used on the uniforms of the era for both Officers and NCO's. Also illustrated are examples and variations of the metal wing worn by pilots of this era.
