English: Claes Oldenburg (born January 28, 1929) is a sculptor, born in Stockholm, Sweden, but moved to America as a child in 1936. He was the partner of the Dutch/American sculptor Coosje van Bruggen

Besonders bekannt wurde er durch Skulpturen, die aus "banalen" Werkstoffen hergestellt waren oder subtile Alltagsgegenstände darstellten.
