English: Clavering is a civil parish and village in north-west Essex in England. The Clavering name means "place where clover grows". Clavering, one of over 100 villages in the district of Uttlesford, is situated 20 miles (32km) south of Cambridge on the River Stort. Situated 10 miles from London Stansted Airport, the parish may be affected by plans to expand the airport.
