|The museum was originally founded in 1796 in Puławy by Princess Izabela Czartoryska to preserve Polish heritage in keeping with the Princess' motto: The Past to the Future. The collection was moved to Kraków in 1876. Currently, a division of the National Museum in Kraków.|
