English: David O. Lordkipanidze (born 1963) is a Georgian anthropologist and archaeologist. He is famous for having discovered the hominin species, Homo georgicus. Conducting excavation at Dmanisi in Georgia, he found skulls of an early hominin thought to be a precursor of Homo erectus.
