English: Fomalhaut, also known as Alpha Piscis Austrini, is the brightest star in the constellation Piscis Austrinus and one of the brightest stars in the sky. It is a class A star approximately 25 light-years from Earth. It is the third brightest star known to have a planetary system, after Pollux and the Sun.
