Deutsch: Günther Verheugen (* 28. April 1944 in Bad Kreuznach) ist ein deutscher Politiker (SPD, bis 1982 FDP). Er war in der Kommission Barroso I Vizepräsident der Europäischen Kommission und EU-Kommissar für Unternehmen und Industrie. Zuvor war er EU-Kommissar für Erweiterung unter Romano Prodi.
