English: Gerhardt Friedrich Müller (1705–1783) was a historian and pioneer ethnologist who was invited to St. Petersburg in 1725 to co-found the Imperial Academy of Sciences. Müller participated in the first Kamchatka expedition, which reported on life and nature of the further (eastern) side of the Ural mountain range.
Русский: Ге́рард Фри́дрих Ми́ллер, или в русифицированном варианте Фёдор Ива́нович Ми́ллер (1705—1783) — российский историограф немецкого происхождения, академик Петербургской академии наук (1725), профессор (1730). Руководитель самой большой в истории человечества экспедиции — I Академической Экспедиции, суммарно в которой участвовало около 3 тысяч человек.
