English: The Giardini Botanici Hanbury, also known as the Villa Hanbury gardens, are located on the coast near Ventimiglia, in Liguria, Italy. They are a major botanical garden in Italy, operated by the University of Genoa and open to the public. The gardens were established in 1867 by Sir Thomas Hanbury on a small, steep peninsula jutting southwards from an altitude of 103 meters down into the Mediterranean Sea.
