English: The Gondi (Gōndi) or Gond people are people in central India, spread over the states of Madhya Pradesh, eastern Maharashtra (Vidarbha), Chhattisgarh, northern Andhra Pradesh, and Western Odisha. With over four million people, they are the largest tribe in Central India.
हिन्दी: गोंड (जनजाति), भारत की एक प्रमुख जनजाति हैं । आदिवासी गोंड का इतिहास उतना ही पुराना है जितना इस पृथ्वी -ग्रह पर मनुष्य, परन्तु लिखित इतिहास के प्रमाण के अभाव में खोज का विषय है। यहाँ गोंड जनजाति के प्राचीन निवास के क्षेत्र में आदि के शाक्ष्य उपलब्ध है। गोंड समुदाय द्रविढ़वर्ग के माने जाते है, जिनमे जाती व्यस्था नही थी। गहरे रंग के ये लोग इस देश में कोई ५-६ हजार वर्ष पूर्व से निवासरत है। एक प्रमाण के आधार पर कहा जा सकता है की गोंड जाती का सम्बन्ध सिन्धु घटी की सभ्यता से भी रहा है।
മലയാളം: മദ്ധ്യേന്ത്യയിലെ ഒരു ജനവിഭാഗമാണ് ഗോണ്ട് അഥവാ ഗോണ്ടികൾ. ഇന്നത്തെ മദ്ധ്യപ്രദേശ്, കിഴക്കൻ മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര (വിദർഭ), ഛത്തീസ്ഗഢ്, വടക്കൻ ആന്ധ്രപ്രദേശ്, പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഒറീസ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലായി ഇവർ അധിവസിക്കുന്നു. മറ്റ് ആദിവാസിവംശങ്ങളെ കീഴടക്കി സാമ്രാജ്യം സ്ഥാപിച്ച ഗിരിവർഗ്ഗക്കാരാണിവർ. നാല്പ്പതു ലക്ഷത്തിലേറെ അംഗസംഖ്യയുള്ള ഇവർ മദ്ധ്യേന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഗോത്രമാണ്.
