Deutsch: Habiba Sarabi ist eine afghanische Hämatologistin, Politikerin und Reformerin der Post-Taliban-Zeit in Afghanistan. Am 23. März 2005 wurde sie von Präsident Hamid Karzai zur Gouverneurin der Provinz Bamiyan ernannt, und wurde somit die erste Frau in Afghanistan, die jemals eine solche Position innehatte.[1] Zuvor fungierte sie in Karzais Kabinett als Frauenbeauftragte sowie als Ministerin für Kultur und Bildung.
English: Habiba Sarabi (Persian: حبیبه سرابی) (born 1956) is a hematologist, politician, and reformer of the post-Taliban reconstruction of Afghanistan. In 2005, she was appointed as governor of Bamyan Province by President Hamid Karzai, becoming the first woman to ever be a governor of any province in the country. She previously served in Karzai's government as Minister of Women's Affairs as well as Minister of Culture and Education.
