Hannah Serwaa Tetteh (other spelling: Hanna Tettey-Kpodar) was born on the 31st of May, 1967 in Szeged (Hungary) as the daughter of a Ghanaian father and Hungarian mother. She returned to Ghana in 1976 and studied later jurisprudence on the University of Ghana. She is barrister and member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ghana and as latter also elected parliament representative for the constituency of the Awutu-Senya District (Central Region, Ghana) for 2000-2004 and 2012-2016. She was the Ghanaian Minister for Trade and Industry in the government of President John Atta Mills in the time 2009-2013. and she is the incumbent Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of President John Dramani Mahama (since 2013). She is also one of the directors of the Ghanaian football club Accra Hearts of Oak SC.
