English: Henry II of Castile (Seville, 13 January 1334 – Santo Domingo de la Calzada, 29 May 1379) was the first King of Castile and León from the House of Trastámara. He became king in 1369 by defeating his half-brother, king Peter I of Castile, after numerous rebellions and battles. As king he was involved in the Ferdinanine Wars and the Hundred Years' War.
Español: Enrique II de Castilla (Sevilla, 13 de enero de 1333 o a principios de 1334 - Santo Domingo de la Calzada, 29 de mayo de 1379), llamado el Fratricida o el de las Mercedes, fue el primer rey de Castilla de la Casa de Trastámara, y era hijo ilegítimo del rey Alfonso XI de Castilla y de su amante, Leonor de Guzmán. Enrique II subió al trono en 1369 tras asesinar a su hermanastro, el rey Pedro I de Castilla.
