Category:High-quality images of the Charters of Freedom from the National Archives and Records Administration

In July 2011, the United States National Archives and Records Administration made available its highest-resolution scan images of its Charters of Freedom, the three most important documents in its holdings. This is part of its broader collaboration with Wikimedia projects (see w:WP:NARA). These large TIFF files of the United States Declaration of Independence, United States Constitution, and United States Bill of Rights are between 130 and 180 megabytes each, and had to be specially uploaded to Commons by a developer with shell access. Their thumbnails do not display on Wikimedia Commons, but they are available for download. The displayable JPG versions of these files are also categorized here.
