English: Monument marking the hypocenter of the Hiroshima atomic blast. Was the site of the Shima Hospital until it was completely destroyed on 6 August 1945, and was later rebuilt from the ground up in 1948. It is one block east (about 150 meters/490 feet) from the Atomic Bomb Dome, which was the closest structure to the hypocenter to remain significantly intact after the blast.
