References Provenance: Original book made for Simon de Varie. It was divided in three parts by Philippe de Béthune (1561-1649). This volume (KB 74G37) was obtained by Samuel van Huls (1655-1734), mayor of The Hague from 1701-1702. His collection was auctioned between 4 September and 13 November 1730, where the manuscript was acquired by Johan Hendrik van Wassenaer Obdam (1683-1745). In August 1750 it was auctioned and bought by William IV, Prince of Orange (1711-1751) and inherited by his son William V, Prince of Orange (1748-1806). His son William I of the Netherlands (1772-1843) donated it to the Koninklijke Bibliotheek in 1816.
