English: A Jack, is a playing card which, in traditional American and English 52-card decks and in Tarot 78-card decks, pictures a man in the traditional or historic aristocratic dress generally associated with Europe of the 16th or 17th century. The usual rank of a Jack, within its suit, plays as if it were an 11 (that is, between the 10 and the Queen in 52-card decks, or between the 10 and the Knight in Tarot 78-card decks). Its is similar to the Knave (or sota) in traditional Spanish 48-card decks, where it is played as if it were a 10 (that is after the 9, but before the Knight played as if it were an 11).
