English: General James Watson Webb (February 8, 1802 - June 7, 1884) was a newspaper publisher and a New York politician in the Whig and Republican parties. Two sons, H. Walter Webb and William Seward Webb, were noteworthy railway executives. Another son, Alexander Stewart Webb, was a distinguished Union general in the American Civil War.
