English: Jean Charlier de Gerson (December 13, 1363 – July 12, 1429), French scholar, educator, reformer, and poet, chancellor of the University of Paris, a guiding light of the conciliar movement and one of the most prominent theologians at the Council of Constance, was born at the village of Gerson, in the bishopric of Reims in Champagne.
Français : Jean Charlier dit Jean de Gerson ou Jean Charlier de Gerson, né le 13 décembre 1363 à Gerson, près de Rethel dans les Ardennes, mort le 12 juillet 1429 à Lyon, est un prédicateur, philosophe, homme politique, enseignant et théologien français du Moyen Âge. Il fut chancelier de l'Université de Paris de 1395 jusqu'en 1415.
