English: The Jingpo or Jingpho or Kachin people people (own names: Jingpo (also Jinghpaw), Tsaiva, Lechi) are an ethnic group who largely inhabit northern Myanmar (Kachin State). They also form one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China, where they numbered 132,143 people in the 2000 census. There is a closely related people in India called Singpho.

En este país forman una de las 56 minorías oficialmente reconocidas por el gobierno. La mayoría de los jingpo habita en Myanmar, con una población estimada de unos 600.000 habitantes. En China, la población jingpo, de unos 130.000, se concentra en la provincia de Yunnan.
