English: The Königsberg Cathedral — a Lutheran Brick Gothic Cathedral, in Kaliningrad, western Russia.
  • Begun in 1333, it was completed by 1380. Work on the interior frescoes lasted several more decades until the end of 14th century.
  • The cathedral was built when the city was named Königsberg, and in the German East Prussia region. Although the city has was renamed Kaliningrad in 1946, this cathedral is usually still called "Königsberg Cathedral" — avoiding confusion with city's modern Russian Orthodox "Kaliningrad Cathedral."
  • Today, the cathedral has two chapels: one Lutheran; one Russian Orthodox.
