November 1942 in Choyaot, Provinz Kampong Thom), Kampfname „Genosse Duch“ oder „Deuch“, war ein Mitglied der Roten Khmer und von 1976 bis 1979 Leiter des Gefängnisses S-21 (Tuol Sleng) in Phnom Penh. Dort war er verantwortlich für den Tod von mindestens 14.000 Menschen.
English: Kang Kek Iew, nom de guerre Comrade Duch or Deuch, (born 17 November 1942) is a war criminal and former leader in the Khmer Rouge communist movement. As the head of the government's internal security branch, he oversaw the Tuol Sleng (S-21) prison camp where thousands were held for interrogation and torture.
