Known as Old High School. Its east part built to Reformed school in between 1820 and 1822. Built in almost completely unadorned, Neo-Classicist style; the circular ornamentation above the windows with mussel ornaments made in the 1880s. Architect: Ferenc Schreck. Called as Grand School. Extended with a west wing in 1882 Planned by Viktor Bacho and Gyula Kerék. Contractors: István Marcsó, bricklayer and János Gaál carpenter. In 1897 the inside has been remodeled. In 1896 the high school moved from here. Aftre its used for church offices, post office, student accomodation, flats. Here was the Printing and editorial ofice of the local news the 'Vásárhelyi Reggeli Újság' (~Hódmezővásárhely Morning Newspaper) Until 1948 the city medical office. Until 1984 Ministry of Transport and Post Office Public Road Directorate. Remodelled in 1984-1985 to the Alföldi Gallery. Architect: László Tarnai. Contractor: Csongrád County Construction (State) Company - 8 Kossuth Square (Szőnyi Street corner), Hódmezővásárhely, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.
