Ludwig Purtscheller is a well known mountaineer from Salzburg, Austria. He climbed over 1,700 mountains in the alps. Together with Hans Meyer and Yohani Kinyala Lauwo he was the first man to stand on Afrika's highest peak, the Kilimanjaro (1889).
