English: Marine Corps Air Station Futenma or MCAS Futenma of Naha, on the island of Okinawa. It is home to approximately 4,000 Marines of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and has been a U.S. military airbase since the island was occupied following the Battle of Okinawa in 1945. Marine Corps pilots and aircrew are assigned to the base for training and providing air support to other land-based Marines in Okinawa.
日本語: 普天間飛行場(ふてんまひこうじょう、Marine Corps Air Station Futenma)は、 日本沖縄県宜野湾市にあるアメリカ合衆国軍海兵隊飛行場。通称は普天間基地(ふてんまきち、MCAS FUTENMA)で、地元宜野湾市民は単に「基地」と呼ぶ。2,700mの滑走路を持ち、嘉手納基地と並んで沖縄におけるアメリカ軍の拠点となっている。
