English: A marquee is a signage structure placed over an entrance, most commonly of cinemas, theaters, hotels, and casinos. A marquee is commonly lit by light bulbs or neon elements, and sometimes has the name and/or surrounding designs flashing in sequences. A marquee often has signage stating the name of the establishment, the movie, the play and/or the performers involved.
